Lord, Teach us to Pray

Our Father which art ...
Now, that's a good start,
But what's this 'in heaven' part?
We need you down here,
Coz we get in such a pickle sometimes.

Hallowed be thy name.
Yeah, I think of ME some,
When 'Thy kingdom come'
Is the broader picture.
Help me to get my priorities right
In my prayers - in your sight,
Coz we think too much of our own need sometimes.

And, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Now, that might sort out a few problems.
But give us this day is a must,
Coz I'm completely bust,
And we got to get our daily bread sometimes.

And forgive us our debt's
Yes please.
As we forgive our debtors.
Which reminds me of Jim Setters,
Coz I've had a total gutsfull of him sometimes.
He borrowed some things.
Now they've taken wings,
And I think I'll be waiting a lifetimes.

Andleadusnotintotemptation,butdeliverusfromevilforthineisthe
kingdom,andthepower,andtheglory,foreverandever.Amen.

No, not amen!

Dear Lord, if you'll forgive me please,
I'll get down on my knees,
And pop back to that 'bread' thingy.
Bread as spelt M_O_N_E_Y
You see, this very hour,
They're going to cut off the power,
Coz I haven't paid my electricity bill sometimes.

'Amen.'
