Separation

Our days together may be few
and your touch a memory,
we'll share stories from afar
and laugh together at a distance.
Yet our lives will always be connected
in the embrace of God
You in Him
I in Him.
And finally death will not part us
but rather join us
forever,
where nothing separates,
no tears are shed
joy and eternal laughter
will be ours.
